Benefits Summary

Kung Fu For Life was created to improve YOUR LIFE.  We believe that when Kung Fu training is done properly, it greatly improves every aspect of your life.

The first thing you will start to notice is an increase in your strength, stamina, and flexibility.  There will be dramatic increases your mind/body connection.  Things such as your balance, co-ordination, reaction speed, and precision will all see substantial increases.  Your confidence, situational awareness, and negotiating skills will improve dramatically.  Overall with continued training you should see huge improvements in your HEALTH and WELL BEING.

Kung Fu is also protection in case you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation.  You can never be sure what that situation will be, but the more you train the better prepared you are in case something happens.

In short Kung Fu gives you Mastery over both the Mind and the Body.  Kung Fu gives you a deeper understanding of yourself and the Universal Energy connected to all life; And it adds an invisible layer of protection between you and potential danger.

Increase Your Mental Strength & Confidence Through Meditation

One of the most important life skills we teach at Kung Fu for Life is meditation. By focusing one’s own mind you are better able to control yourself in all of life’s pursuits and push past what you believe to be possible. Great achievements of the body are really just great achievements of the mind. A disciplined and dedicated mind can achieve what others think is impossible.

Chi - Activate the Powerful Life Force Energy that Exists Within You

Contrary to popular belief developing chi doesn’t come from meditation alone. You’re actually using it right now, much like you’re breathing, reading, and pumping blood to your brain and entire body. Are you getting the most out of those aforementioned things? Most likely not. Chi — like breathing, your heart, eyes and mind — can be trained. With proper guidance and hard work you will learn to feel the force of energy within you. Then you will learn how to use it. The use of chi is not to be taken lightly or trifled with.

Preserving Your Life with Our Peaceful Philosophy

At Kung Fu for Life we believe the preservation of your life is the most important thing. That is why we believe a peaceful solution is always the preferred solution. The Shaolin monks were deeply rooted in the Buddhist philosophy and non-harm was always considered to be a top priority for them. We continue this tradition and will teach you how to diffuse a tense situation with words rather than physical force.

Train Around Injuries & Recover Quicker

At Kung Fu for Life we accommodate students with injuries or physical limitations. Having to defend yourself or loved ones can occur at any time, which is why we recommend and encourage our students to train around their injuries. A lot of our students have even stunned their doctors with their rate of recovery after suffering serious injuries because of their continued training. One of the reasons we don’t allow people to watch our students train is due to the fact that some are usually working through injuries, and we don’t want them to feel self-conscious.

Develop in the Art Faster with Our Guided Practices

Practice is essential to becoming a gifted martial artist. With our expert teachers by your side you will gain a deeper understanding of the forms and techniques, allowing you to better execute them when the time comes. Though you may have limited private lessons associated with your program, there is no limit on the amount of guided practices you can access.

Build the Parts of You that Can't Be Seen with Our Breathing Arts Classes

Created by Master DelCorro, our breathing arts classes help a person reach their full potential. Not a lot of people realize that martial arts is both internal and external. Though invisible on the outside, your breathing, balance, flexibility, and mindset are all important to self-defense. Our goal is to make you the best you can be on the outside and inside, and these classes are important in helping us get you there.

Use Not Only Your Force but an Opponent's Force for a Complete Fighting Style

At Kung Fu for Life we train in both the hard and soft styles which is highly beneficial to making you the most well-rounded fighter possible. Hard style — or using one’s force to subdue an attacker — is what we begin with because it’s the easiest for beginners to grasp. Using an opponent’s force against them — or soft style — requires much more experience. Your timing has to be near perfect and just the right amount of force is required to successfully pull off many of the moves. But with proper training you can defeat opponents with a fraction of the power and speed of a hard stylist. This makes soft style extremely popular amongst women or older students.

Learn the Purest Form of Martial Arts Thanks to Our Low Stress Non-Competitive Environment

Life is competitive enough. There’s no need to add the stresses associated with competing to your martial arts training. We also believe competitive training dilutes the art by severely limiting it. In the real world of self-defense there are no rules or referees, there’s only you and an assailant. In such a situation you need every martial arts tool at your disposal, and if you’ve been trained to fight competitively your instinct will be to fight in accordance with the rules of competition. This will be a disservice to you.

Progress at a Comfortable Pace with Our Two-Stage Sparring Program

Grand Master Piercey created our two-stage sparring program in order to make the experience of sparring more enjoyable and effective for students. Sparring can be an intimidating experience when you’re just starting out in martial arts, but with this approach a lot of the fear and worry is removed. All sparring sessions are supervised by an experienced instructor, and everyone who enters into sparring must have demonstrated experience with Kung Fu. In the first stage you will spar at slower speeds of around 10-30%. In the second stage you can spar at higher speeds ranging from 30-100%. This will allow you to learn how to spar properly and get the full benefits of Kung Fu.

Train Wherever is Most Convenient for You

If you can’t make it to the studio we can send an experienced instructor to your home, place of work, or business. All you’ll need is some space and you can train Kung Fu wherever you are. This service is also great for team building and improving employee morale. Call us today to find out more.

Build Your Child's Confidence with Private Lessons

In a lot of martial arts schools kids are simply shoved into a group class without any personalized instruction. This can lead to them feeling overwhelmed and disinterested in continuing on with their training. At Kung Fu for Life we offer children guided practice and personal one-on-one instruction, which can make a huge difference in their confidence and retention of knowledge.

Learn One of the Most Complete Martial Arts Systems in the World

Kung Fu for Life’s highly versatile and thorough training features extensive techniques using arms and legs in blocking, kicking, and punching. We also teach takedowns, throws, sweeps, locks, flying techniques, ground defense, weapons training, weapons defense, proper breathing, meditation, and mind training. With our wealth of knowledge in martial arts we can transform you into a formidable force.
